MYFA wants to thank it's 78- yes 78! - Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers, and Board Members for all your efforts!! Taken together these 78 people donated over 8,000 hours of their valuable time to bringing another season of youth football to Wasilla, Palmer, Houston, Chugiak, and all point in between!
We also must extend our thanks to the many parents who helped out at practices, manning the chains during games, and making sure all the players had refreshments at half-times. The program doesn't work without the support of the many wonderful parents who step up every year to help out! THANK YOU!!
This season saw some great moments ~ Colony 3/4 taking the State Championship ~ Palmer 7/8 White going to the Grizzly Bowl in Kodiak ~ Wasilla 5/6 Red Taking the 5/6 MYFA Championship ~ and many others.
We also experienced some growing pains - Having over 400 kids on 20 teams for the first time (a record number of players!!). Thank you to the large number of parents who returned your surveys. What you have told us has been heard, and will be used to make changes for 2009.
So, as the snow covers the gridiron, we wish everyone a safe and happy upcoming holiday season ~ SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!!
